The opening act was a local NZ band called The Eastern. They had a great sound and put on a lively show. Their singer reminded us a lot of Ryan!
OCMS didn't disappoint either. They put on a great performance. They didn't have quite as much energy as we expected, but it was their first show of the tour and may have been feeling some jet lag... I didn't realize how much space the videos would take up on my camera. I quickly filled up the memory card with the songs early in the set and couldn't be bothered to sort through them and delete any while the show was still going. The result was that I missed filming my favourite songs and didn't have space for many pictures. Oh well, it gave me more time to enjoy the show rather than fiddle around with the camera.
I really wanted to follow them on to a couple more shows (maybe Hamilton and Wellington) but in the end the combination of having no money, no car and needing to take time off work persuaded me to stay in Auckland, haha.
